Inside a restaurant-bar that catered exclusively to Abhumans, Annie had knocked several lizardmen—or maybe dinosaur people—flat on the floor after they'd tried to rudely kick her out, shouted at her, and even threatened to use force. The noisy establishment fell silent in an instant.
"Stop!"
"Stop it, right now!"
Naturally, the fellow who seemed to be the owner came hurrying over to little Annie. He dropped to his knees right in front of her and begged loudly for mercy, all while hastily trying to explain:
"Please, stop hitting them..."
"Honored mage!"
"We really didn't mean to kick you out! We're not prejudiced against humans, I swear..."
"I usually only serve Abhumans here because we often need to eat things like insects, raw meat, or food that's poisonous to humans. That's why we don't let humans inside."
"We really didn't mean to discriminate against you..."
"Honestly!"
"If you don't believe me, you can go ask anyone outside. Ask the guards, or anyone else!"
No matter where you went or what race you belonged to, strength gave you the right to be heard. Seeing that even the burly Abhumans couldn't take down a little girl, the Abhuman owner immediately backed down. He didn't even dare call the kingdom's guards to settle the dispute.
