The Wu Continent had a total area of 1.02 billion square kilometers, while the main residential areas of human nations currently covered only a mere 4.9 billion square kilometers. That meant this one continent alone was ten times larger than all the lands where humanity had gathered!
The Wu Continent was just one small piece of land discovered during humanity's earlier explorations of the Gourmet World. It was the third-largest continent, and apart from a handful of research stations and supply bases for Gourmet Hunters, there were currently no human cities or countries there.
And that was the main reason the people of this world weren't in any hurry to explore the far vaster—and far more dangerous—Gourmet World.
There was simply no need!
The lands already discovered, along with the delicacies found there, were enough to keep the world's tens of billions of people occupied for centuries.
After all, with food and other necessities in such abundance that no one needed to worry about shortages, people in this golden age of gourmet food had little desire to push into new territory. The 300,000 delicacies already discovered within humanity's reach were more than enough to enjoy.
Today, however, a high-speed vertical takeoff and landing jet transport had arrived here and landed safely on a barren patch of ground with sparse vegetation in the continent's northern jungle.
The plane hadn't dared approach the jungle too closely. Almost everyone knew this part of the continent was a Plant Hell, full of all sorts of enormous dangers. If the aircraft got too close, its thin aluminum alloy shell certainly wouldn't be enough to protect the passengers inside.
But before the plane had even come to a stop, before the crew had a chance to survey their surroundings, a troublesome little girl cheered and dashed
