A group of navy soldiers crawled out from between the distant ruins. They quickly gathered together, forming a squad of a dozen or so men on their own initiative. Then, some without even finding their weapons, they rushed noisily toward the execution platform and the docks.

Annie saw them, but she was sitting on a section of wall that was all that remained of a pastry shop, swinging her legs as she watched the distant battle. She paid them no mind.
Of course, they paid her no mind either. In fact, they hadn't even noticed her, and never would have guessed that the culprit behind everything happening before their eyes was sitting perfectly comfortably on the high wall not far behind them.
"Looks like I went a little overboard..."

After watching the commotion around the distant docks and execution platform, Annie finally began looking around.
She had meant to tell him not to go out, and not to leave her side, but that idiot had run off too quickly. He'd vanished before she could even warn him.
Well, look where that got them. She hadn't managed to save Ace, and now he'd gone missing too. Who knew where the tsunami had swept him off to?
