Although Elwynn, Jessica, and the others had been waiting eagerly, they still never saw Sherry and Keith return. In the end, with no choice but to stop waiting there, they hurriedly led the last few hundred members of the Radiant Legion away from the valley, crestfallen, and set off back to Karthus.
Meanwhile, as soon as Princess Sherry and her loyal retainer Keith arrived on the enormous floating island, they were seized by a group of monsters. They looked like Murlocs, but had snake-like tails and savage appearances. Terrifying heat radiated from their bodies, and they were highly skilled in fire magic.
After a brief argument and a beating, the two quickly quieted down. The monsters then marched them off to some part of the floating island.
As they were escorted along, they saw breathtaking buildings unlike anything in Karthus or the Imperium of Man; towering red maples and a vibrant forest; monsters with dark circles around their eyes running through the city; golden-red pavilions floating in midair; suspended stairways; and a magnificent city that, even from the glimpse they caught, seemed opulent and magical. Sherry and Keith were utterly stunned. They felt like ignorant country bumpkins who had just come in from the sticks.
There was no doubt that the floating island held an enormous city, far larger, more beautiful, grander, and more luxurious than Karthus or the Imperium of Man's capital. The races here were also unlike any Sherry had ever seen. She couldn't even name them.
At the very center of this splendid city, Sherry and Keith saw a gigantic golden structure that towered into the sky. None of the fortresses or strongholds on the continent of Elusaria could compare to it in height or size. And at its summit seemed to burn a huge red Fireball,
