At an altitude of ten thousand meters, Scott and Hayne, who had come to the floating island as envoys of the Kingdom of Karthus, and the few nervous Eagle Riders accompanying them had finally arrived safely. Following the magical guidance, they landed on the island and were warmly welcomed by a group of "monsters" who had been waiting for them.
"Whew!"
"That scared the life out of me!"
"I thought they were definitely going to attack us!"
Seeing that the monsters had only carried out a routine inspection and made no further moves, Hayne finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"But they took our mounts..."
"And..."
"I have a bad feeling about this..."
As the monsters—who looked like Murlocs, but weren't—led away the giant eagles they had ridden in on, Scott looked at the Magma Giants and two-headed Magma Hounds standing across the land, the little Pyros bouncing around everywhere, and the enormous, terrifying, blazing eagles flying through the sky. His expression gradually turned stiff and pale.
He had a feeling this place was probably a den of demons. The Imperium of Man had quite a few Magma Giant monster spearmen, after all, and they were terrifying creatures that had cost Karthus dearly.
Most importantly, now that they had volunteered to come here as envoys, would they even make it back alive?
"Don't worry too much!"
"Scott, look at that enormous castle in the distance, and that incredibly splendid city!"
"I swear!"
"There must be a whole bunch of powerful mages there!"
"These monsters are probably just their servants. You can relax!"
Compared with Scott, the Karthus ambassador, who wore a face full of worry, Hayne either genuinely wasn't concerned at all or was doing a good job of pretending.
Either way, he was much more relaxed than Scott. His
