The area ruled by Stormveil Castle was vast. To the south, it encompassed a large stretch of land south of Lake Agheel, as well as the entire enormous island where Morne Castle stood. Its eastern border ran along the Smoldering Church and the line of the Gael Tunnel, while to the west it reached the sea near the cliffs where Stormveil Castle stood. This broad and fertile territory was all part of Limgrave, ruled by the lord of Stormveil Castle!
Originally, in ancient times, this had been the Storm Lord's territory. But a very, very long time ago, Godfrey, the first Elden Lord, led his army to conquer it. Later, near the end of the Shattering, Godrick fled the royal capital in a panic with his followers and entrenched himself here, where he remained until a certain troublesome little girl arrived and, by some twist of fate, took his place.
After years of Godrick's tyranny and his cruel atrocities born of his obsession with grafting, just how much of Limgrave still remained under his rule was highly debatable.
Now, after a certain troublesome little girl had killed the Demigod Godrick, moved into Stormveil Castle, and ordered the soldiers at most of the checkpoints to return for reorganization, how much control she had over this vast region was an even bigger unknown.
Fortunately, Stormveil Castle now had more than enough troops to reoccupy and rule all of Limgrave. So there was no need to rush. They could wait until Stormveil Castle had been put in order and regained some of its functions, then set things straight after repairing and easing the damage and wounds caused by Godrick the Grafted.
