Those who still followed the stars became the followers of night. They began keeping watch over the night alone, hoping that one day the stars would fill the night sky once more.
Then, as the Scarlet Rot gradually approached Nokstella, the Nox had no choice but to abandon that Eternal City once again. It was then that the moon-worshipping Nox went to the surface and built the Moonlight Altar at the highest point in Liurnia. They began to mingle and interact with humans, and the Carian Dynasty rose to power. On the surface, they continued their research into artificial life, which led to the creation of the Albinauric Village in Liurnia.
Underground, after a mysterious blind girl defeated the Goddess of Scarlet Rot, the surviving Nox continued migrating through the depths alongside the Ancestral Followers, searching for a new place to call home.
Before long, they arrived in the Siofra River region beneath the earth and once again set about building a royal city and altar of their own.
And so the third Eternal City was born. The Nox named it Nokron.
