Since Paimon had been clinging to her the whole time, and that big sister Ying really did seem to have something important to discuss with that stag, and since it was all terribly boring, Annie had, for once, refrained from disturbing them or picking a fight with that inconsiderate animal. She simply stayed to one side with Paimon, who watched her like a hawk, afraid she would go cause trouble, and pointed out things here and there in a distant lake.

After who knew how long, the two seemed to have finished talking. Then, when Annie saw big sister Ying walking toward them with a slight frown, she finally cheered and went straight to meet her, asking,
"Big sister Ying, are you done talking to that fierce, nasty stag?"

Clearly, Annie did not like that stag, which really thought itself some kind of immortal and looked down on everyone!
If Ying and Paimon had not been there, and if there had not still been things to ask, she surely would have gotten into a fight with it just now. Then perhaps this "Flame Immortal" would have properly taught it how to be an immortal—and let it know why flames were so very red!
