As night fell, in a VIP lake-view room at Wangshu Inn, perched atop a sheer cliff with the finest view of the lake at Bishui Plain and the best vantage point for taking in the natural scenery of Dihua Marsh, a troublesome little girl was fast asleep on a soft, large bed with brand-new bedding and fresh cotton stuffing in the mattress.

As she slept, she murmured a few incomprehensible words and rolled over, then curled up on the far side of the bed, still clutching her blanket.
Annie had long since realized that some people at the inn, like the boss and the manager, had seen through her "suspect" status. They were using it to keep her there, and might even have some plan in the works for her.
But she hadn't paid it much mind.
She still ate and drank as she pleased, and when it was time to sleep, she'd flopped into bed without a second thought and promptly fallen asleep. She hadn't taken anyone's ideas or plans seriously at all.
Besides, those people's plans were still just plans. They hadn't dared put them into action, so she was happy to enjoy some peace and quiet for a while.
Perhaps, once she'd eaten, drunk, and played to her heart's content and eventually got bored, she'd go have a little fun with them?
