"You..."
"Ah!"
"Is this your house?"
Looking at the green-haired witch Schierke as she walked down from the second-floor balcony of the treehouse, her face expressionless, then at the beautiful courtyard around them, which his reckless actions had just left in complete disarray, Guts came to his senses. Realizing he'd done something stupid and had surely upset the owner, he put away his weapon and hurriedly offered an awkward, sheepish explanation:

"Liar!"
"Miss Schierke, I'm telling you, he did it on purpose!"
"I told him there was someone living here and not to mess around, but he barged right in anyway. This is all his fault!"

"..."
But Guts quickly hit back.
First he gave Annie a meaningful look, then he glanced past her at the pile of scorched stones and dirt, which was still radiating heat and glowing with embers. He didn't say a word, but the implication in his one eye was plain enough.
"!!"
