After clearing up the misunderstanding and being granted permission to roam freely through most of the ship, Annie naturally began wandering all over the rickety old ship called the Orville without a care in the world, paying no attention to the strange looks people threw her way.
"La-la~?"

The reason Annie privately called it a rickety old ship was, of course, that its technology, intelligence, weaponry, comfort, and just about everything else were far inferior to her own Little White, a luxurious spaceship that could transform into countless shapes and was as grand as a palace!
Anyway, after wandering aimlessly around the ship and getting a general feel for it, Annie discovered that apart from being a few sizes bigger than her sightseeing vessel and having enough room for a little over three hundred crew members to live aboard, the Orville didn't seem to have any other advantages.
According to some of the ship's public records, it was merely a mid-sized exploratory vessel in the Planetary Union's fleet. It was much smaller than heavy cruisers of the same type. Though it had four decks, they were crammed full of sections like the infirmary, bridge, engineering deck, living quarters, shuttle bay, communications array, and cafeteria.
As for its weapons and engines, there was even less to say. It had only a few rudimentary particle-charged emitters and a full-coverage energy shield, along with a gravity generator and a quantum engine that could just about manage short bursts of faster-than-light travel at "ten light-years per hour." And that was it.
Annie was, of course, rather unimpressed.
After all, a quantum engine that could only make limited faster-than-light trips of "ten light-years per hour" within a set time and distance was terribly outdated. It couldn't compare to the advanced, large-scale jump
