Armed with nothing but a standard-issue particle rifle from the Orville, Annie went on an utterly unreasonable rampage. In the corridors on the deck where the recreation area was located, she took down at least a hundred Kaylon robots, forcing them to revise their understanding of what they considered the limits of an inferior species called "human." In the end, she had nearly cleared the enemy out and secured the entire deck all by herself.
However, even after she'd mostly cleared the recreation area and killed over a hundred enemies—including those in the mess hall and bar—Annie had found no surviving crew members. The only people she'd come across were a few shipboard fighters, some dead and others badly wounded and unconscious on the floor.
So, with no other choice, Annie hurried up to the next deck to find people. After taking out several red-eyed robots on duty in the communications room, she managed to secure the important facility used to send and receive messages both inside and outside the ship.
"Huh?"

After killing the red-eyed robots inside and ignoring the mechanical corpses whose heads had been melted by her particle rifle, Annie strode right in—and promptly stepped on a heap of yellowish-brown, pitch-black stuff.
"Whoa!

"Who's disgusting enough to poop in here?!"

The revolting sensation startled Annie so badly that she jumped away on instinct. As she did, she kept rubbing her shoe against the "corpses" of the headless robots, as if trying to scrape all the filth off the sole.
"Ugh..."
"Annie..."
Just then, something even more surprising happened.
The yellowish-brown, pitch-black, squishy lump on the floor twitched slightly. A human mouth appeared on it, and it let out a faint groan in her direction.
