Annie had discovered that the idiot Captain Ed, First Officer Kelly, helmsman Gordon, Chief Engineer John, ship's doctor Claire, Isaac the robot, and Tara, the security officer who had just been promoted to lieutenant, were playing that outlaw game about cowboys claiming land in the Americas again.
And the reason she knew all that so well was, of course, that those bad guys had come to borrow her private, extra-large Entertainment Simulation Room Number One again. And this time, they absolutely had to borrow it!
Before borrowing it, they'd claimed they wanted to enjoy a simulation together, but none of the other rooms were as big as hers, or as fun, so they'd come to beg her to lend them her room for one night.
But then...
Annie had no idea what those people meant when they said "one night." All she knew was that when she'd gotten up around noon the next day, eaten her fill, and wandered over to Simulation Room Number One, she'd found those shameless people still dressed in cowboy outfits and hats, drinking themselves silly in a saloon straight out of the eighteenth or nineteenth century. They showed no sign of leaving, either.
