In the end, after Kasumi had coaxed and pleaded with her, Annie gave back Kasumi, the useless Satoshi and Takeshi, and even all the Pokémon belonging to the other trainers.
After all, compared to the Pokémon belonging to that rabble, she still thought Charizard, Venusaur, and Blastoise were a little more powerful.
And besides!
She'd already caught Mewtwo, hailed as the strongest Pokémon, as well as Mew, believed to be the most precious Pokémon in the world. Naturally, she wasn't interested in the other stuff.
At least, not for now.
They said Mewtwo had been copied and cloned from a fossilized eyelash of a Mew, combined with the traits of other exceptional Pokémon in this world. It was a superb artificial Pokémon created by recombining Mew's genes, and could use almost every known Pokémon move.
Though Mewtwo's genes were nearly identical to Mew's, and Mew was about as strong as Mewtwo and could also use almost every known Pokémon move, Mew could even transform into all kinds of known Pokémon. But its size and personality were astonishingly different from Mewtwo's. Mewtwo's extraordinary power, in particular, seemed to have been bred specifically for battle.
So, in Annie's eyes, the strong and sturdy Mewtwo was a little more formidable in battle than the small and adorable Mew.
In short!
Both Mewtwo and Mew were pretty great. As far as Annie was concerned, Mewtwo was relatively stronger and could talk, while Mew was small and cute and knew how to act adorable. Both were much better than the other Pokémon.
So, after getting something better, Queen Annie naturally had no interest in the not-so-good stuff. She tossed it all back, and after the trainers cheered with delight and thanked her profusely, they left with their Pokémon.
