That evening, Annie still booked hotel rooms for Misty, Ash, and Tracey. Their rooms were right next to one another, and she even covered the cost of dinner, leaving the three of them, Pikachu, Togepi, and the others thoroughly stuffed and begging for more.
The reason Annie treated them so well was that she was worried she might miss the match at ten the next morning!
After all, neither Tibbers nor little Mew could easily break the Great Demon King's seal on her in bed. If those two dared to make trouble while she was asleep, she would suppress them in an instant. There was no doubt about that.
But things were entirely different if someone else came knocking—especially if they were friends or other people she couldn't just kill or set on fire.
No matter what, she certainly wasn't going to burn big sister Misty or feed her to Little Bear. As for those two rascals, Ash and Tracey, she didn't like them all that much, but they hadn't quite reached the point where she needed to burn them right away. So, giving the three of them a little something and having them come bang on her door on time to wake Queen Annie from the Great Demon King's mighty sealing technique was her only option.

The next day, at ten in the morning, at the Orange Island stadium—a huge arena designed like an ancient gladiatorial amphitheater—Annie showed up right on time in front of the chief trainer, rubbing her sleepy eyes as tens of thousands of spectators and the match announcer cheered thunderously.
And of course, she had Misty, Ash, and Tracey to thank for making it there on time.
