Of course, this was not a Teleport gate Annie had opened at Darius's request. They had simply used the spatial Teleportation technology aboard the Noxus.
Although the Terran forces of the Star Sector generally found it difficult to Teleport large numbers of combat troops directly—especially to Warp massive armies as extravagantly as the Protoss did—or to Teleport large numbers of refugees while consuming huge amounts of energy, they usually would not choose to do so anyway, because it was extremely cost-inefficient.
However, when necessary and in urgent situations, Teleporting a small number of important personnel to a destination was still completely manageable.
Thus, while the Noxus deliberately refrained from using its Warp drive and slowly made its way back to Canopy Star, Darius, Annie, and the others had already returned to the mine base ahead of time. They immediately began arranging a thorough investigation of the underground facility where detection equipment, countless daemons, and almost an entire combat regiment of marines had died silently.
