Time to eat!
It was already the following afternoon before Lu Linglong, who had—unprecedentedly—slept in with a certain troublesome little girl, and the other two women, Zhi Jinhua and Fu Rong, finally felt like themselves again. They met Zhang Chulan and the others in the living room of the large hotel suite they had booked.
Of course, the only ones who had truly been too worried to eat were Zhang Chulan, who was anxious about the mission; Lu Lin, who was worried about his cousin; and Zhuge Qing, who was worried about Fu Rong. Feng Baobao and Zhang Lingyu were exceptions. Those two didn't seem particularly concerned.
Feng Baobao especially. She'd been eating well and sleeping soundly these past two days. Right now, she was polishing off a big bag of doughnuts she'd brought back from the hotel's breakfast buffet that morning. She was in such high spirits that nothing had affected her at all.
Fortunately, Feng Baobao's attitude and state of mind weren't important.
When Lu Linglong and the other two finally emerged, looking exhausted and sporting injuries, Zhang Chulan and the others hurried to usher them onto the living-room sofa. Only then did they start asking what had happened.
After all, the troublesome little girl, their ancestor, had refused to tell them anything last night. Now she was too busy playing games and eating sweets with Feng Baobao to pay them any attention, so they'd had no choice but to wait patiently until now and ask Lu Linglong and the others themselves.
