On the third day after the Behemoth Corporation of North America sent its armed forces and Inhuman troops to attack the island, something unexpected happened—something even Zhang Chulan and the others hadn't anticipated. The Naisen Island forces had repelled Behemoth's first assault with only minor losses: a few of the island's people had been killed or captured.
They had also taken the opportunity to wipe out all the opportunists who'd tried to fish in troubled waters, such as the black-robed mages who'd attempted to break into the palace. Meanwhile, Behemoth's landing forces and Inhuman troops had suffered horrendous casualties. The number of dead and wounded was terrifying.
Then, after Behemoth was forced to retreat, perhaps enraged by the fierce resistance from Naisen Island, or perhaps unwilling to be looked down on or mocked by the observer groups from the other organizations in the Inhuman world...

Humiliated and furious, Behemoth promptly scrapped the carefully planned and tiered objectives they'd drawn up before the attack. They started using the real thing. The tranquilizer rounds originally meant to capture the island's Inhumans were replaced with live ammunition, the stun grenades with fragmentation grenades, and the heavy weapons with RPGs and mounted machine guns. Clearly, they no longer intended to leave any of the resisting Inhumans, islanders, or Naisen Guards alive.
And so, with Behemoth finally getting serious and rearming its troops, the battle on Naisen Island escalated all over again as the soldiers changed weapons and landed on the island once more.
