The assassination squad from the ETO had successfully crossed the military restricted zone and infiltrated the gardens. The nano-blades stationed at the corridor intersections, along with the camouflage suits that adapted to the spectrum and evaded radar and infrared detection, all pointed to one thing: the Trisolarans were deeply afraid of the fifth Wallfacer—Annie. They were so afraid that they had given the ETO greater support from the Sophons, and thus from Trisolaris, at least where technology was concerned.
The PDC had studied the spectrum-adaptive camouflage suit that could evade radar and infrared detection as soon as they got their hands on it. They found that although all its materials were native to Earth, its workmanship was incredibly crude, like something hastily cobbled together by a small workshop or factory. But there was no doubt: the technology behind it was not native to Earth!
Given the ETO's backers, the source of the technology was obvious.
Fortunately!
The technology behind the spectrum-adaptive camouflage suit that could evade radar and infrared detection was not particularly advanced. At least, it did not exceed the limits of humanity's current scientific understanding. So, after only a dozen or so days of thoroughly analyzing the Trisolaran technology, the corresponding detection-upgrade modules were delivered to the security teams of all the Wallfacers and the military units protecting them. The PDC security teams in charge of the Wallfacers could now immediately detect and receive warnings about similar equipment.
Of course, whether the PDC would modify and mass-produce those spectrum-adaptive camouflage suits to equip its military on a large scale—or use the technology directly on warships and armored vehicles to build stealth ships, aircraft, and tanks—remained to be seen.
In any case, now that humanity had deciphered the technology from Trisolaris and made some appropriate improvements of its own,
