A Bold Idea
For three whole days, Annie patiently wandered and made trouble among the mountains and snowy peaks of Little Western Heaven, bored out of her mind. During that time, she even tried to trigger an artificial avalanche over the valley where Lesser Thunderclap Temple stood, hoping to bury the place and wipe out all the annoying little demons hiding inside in one fell swoop.
But the result...
Maybe there wasn't enough snow on the mountain, or perhaps the peaks around Lesser Thunderclap Temple were too low to hold much snow. In the end, she failed, much to her regret.
In any case, all she managed was an avalanche that sounded far more impressive than it was. It barely buried an outlying monastery and its walls behind Lesser Thunderclap Temple, killing fewer than a hundred little demons.
Even so, the commotion had scared the Yellow-Browed Monster badly!
Then, that very day, he seemed to have cast a spell specifically to improve the strange blizzards and cold currents that had howled around the snowy peaks of Little Western Heaven all year round—the endless drifting snow and frozen sea. Things got a little better.
Although the altitude and Yellow Brow's ongoing spell meant Little Western Heaven was still freezing, at least it no longer suffered from howling winds and relentless snowstorms day and night.
That showed just how cowardly the Yellow-Browed Monster was!
He seemed afraid that one day, while he was asleep, an avalanche would bury his Lesser Thunderclap Temple. Even though the conditions weren't ideal, he still removed the danger, determined not to give Annie another chance to try.
But that wasn't important.
What mattered was that, after three days of running around, Annie had finally added quite a few more people to her ranks.
Besides Zhu Bajie, Kang
