Maybe it was because she had a thing for the strong?
Or maybe it was because Annie had voluntarily given up that "Gundam Exia" unit?
In any case!
After Annie made it clear she didn't want the Gundam equipped with a GN Drive and only wanted the incomplete "Genn" unit gathering dust in the Iron Nest warehouse—a unit with no power source or weapons, and armor plates supplied by Annie herself—the Li Boli who, supposedly, hadn't been seen for two whole days suddenly showed up at Annie's residence. She sincerely apologized and asked for forgiveness, then immediately said she wanted Annie to take her on as a student and teach her more advanced piloting techniques.
As for taking on a student, Annie, of course, couldn't agree!

In short, the main reason was that the girl was too stupid.
Though she counted as a little genius in the Iron Nest settlement, she was only the tallest among the short. She fell far below Annie's standards for taking on a student, so there was absolutely no chance she'd become Annie's student or apprentice!
Still, although Annie wouldn't take an idiot on as an apprentice and didn't want to bring that kind of trouble upon herself, she didn't refuse the girl's request to occasionally give her some "guidance" while she was staying in Iron Nest.
Then, over the next few days, under Annie's tutelage, the girl made astonishing progress in a very short time. At first, she couldn't last a single round against Annie; now, she could just barely manage one or two.
Of course, she'd only achieved that because
