When a certain "Chosen Pilot" named Kira saw Annie's red-painted Zaku and was reminded of some unpleasant things, Annie likewise spotted the "Freedom Gundam" up ahead. It looked almost exactly like one of her collectibles, except for a few small differences in its paint job.

But familiar or not, Annie didn't pay it much mind.
She knew that when some guy called the "God of Pilots" snatched up countless pilots—or people with pilot talent—from all across the myriad worlds and dumped them into this one, he seemed to have grabbed the mobile suits from those worlds wholesale, too, and dropped them onto inhabited planets in this universe as "airdrop supplies" from the Machine God.
So, since even she had gotten a defective mass-production Zaku, it didn't seem all that hard to believe that a powerful faction with a battleship could get its hands on a Freedom Gundam.
But none of that mattered!
What mattered was that Annie saw how, just after she had fired the four useless, cumbersome "nonstandard" missiles she'd added on and successfully distracted the Mechanical Tribe's mobile suits, three of the six machines—the ones with white main bodies accented in purple and gold—had resolutely charged toward her.
"What? That's it?"

"Only three? Their squad leader's still over there. Who do they think they are, looking down on me?"
Seeing that the golden squad leader hadn't considered her a threat and was still tangling with the "Freedom" over there, while sending only three "grunts" to hold her back, Annie was instantly incensed.
"Tch. You asking for a beating?"
Sure, the enemy mobile suits looked pretty. Their lines were smooth, unlike the stiff shapes of her Zaku or the Freedom over there. And their color scheme was nice,
