On the Mecha God calendar, it was June 11, 11,000,325,002,025, at around eight in the evening.
Knock! Knock!
Annie's captain's quarters suddenly echoed with two knocks. She had no idea who had come by.
"Who is it?"

Hearing the knock, Annie—who was in her quarters, doing who knew what—asked without thinking. She immediately went to open the door a crack and peeked outside.
"Huh?"

"It's you..."

When Annie saw that the person outside was Li Boli, she froze for a moment. Then, as if she'd thought of something, she gave Li Boli a strange look, sizing her up from head to toe. She even looked her over again and again, without making any move to let her in.
"??"
Seeing this, Li Boli was utterly bewildered and instinctively took a step back.
"What's wrong?"
"Teacher, is there something wrong with me?"
As she asked, she instinctively wiped her face.
"Is my face dirty?"
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
"It's not dirty..."
She even instinctively checked her reflection in the gleaming metal wall beside her, trying to figure out what was wrong with her that had made Annie look at her so strangely.

"No! It's nothing!"

Annie blinked and checked one more time to make sure nothing was wrong. Only then did she step aside, though it was hard to tell whether she was relieved or a little disappointed and bored. She motioned for Li Boli to come in.
