Three days later...
That was the morning of June 18, 11,000,302,025 in the Mecha Calendar. The three-ship alliance, led by the Tibbers, arrived on the far side of the moon and began to intimidate the Machine Clan's lunar base.
Seeing the human fleet bearing down on them, the Machine Clan hastily cobbled together a force of nearly twenty warships and just over a hundred mechs.
Compared to the battle on Mars three days earlier, when the enemy had fielded more than 160 mechs at a time, their force had shrunk by nearly half!
Seeing how severely their opponents' strength had declined, the human coalition naturally had nothing more to say. They launched an all-out assault without hesitation.
After all, the Machine Clan had been stronger back at Mars orbit, and the humans hadn't been afraid then. With their enemies' strength now drastically reduced, they had even less reason to be afraid.
Besides, they had Captain Annie, who could do anything. A mere hundred or so mechs probably wouldn't even be enough to keep her busy. Without their mechs for cover, the enemy warships were no match for the highly skilled pilots.
And so!
After both sides had formed their battle lines, their mechs clashed at around 11:02, and the counterattack on the far side of the moon began in earnest!
There's no need to go into detail about the fierce battle that followed.
In short!
The battle lasted a full three hours. In the end, thanks to a certain little girl captain's superb command, precise bombardment, and personal sortie, more than a dozen of the Machine Clan's warships were destroyed. Only a handful of MS units and several small escort ships managed to escape!
Next, human Gundams and soldiers launched a surprise attack on the Machine Clan's base on the
