The time was around 11 p.m. Dragonbone Village had long since been wrapped in the stillness of night. Everything around them, above and below, was quiet.
And yet, for some reason, anyone looking from a distance could see that the lights of what seemed to be an arcade were still on, glowing from the cliffside in the busy part of town. There were even shadows moving inside.

Annie kept a different schedule from ordinary people. She was wandering around the village at the moment, and after taking a look, she naturally followed the lights over.
For the villagers of Dragonbone Village, who rose with the sun and went to bed at nightfall, it was already very late.
Amid the chirping insects and croaking frogs, the other children and most of the villagers were sound asleep in their homes. The little kids in particular were strictly watched over by their parents; there was no way they'd be allowed outside at an hour like this, let alone to waste their time playing at the arcade.
Thankfully, nobody kept Annie on a leash. She could play however she wanted and go wherever she pleased, and nobody would stop her. Like now, for instance: out for a stroll in the middle of the night.
