(￣︶￣) The Couple's Late-Night Talk
The night was deep, and the Huashan Sect was quiet.
Aside from the occasional patrol disciple walking by with a lantern and a long sword, only the chirping of insects and birds and the howling wind occasionally broke the night's tranquility.
Though it had only recently passed the hour of the Dog, for the "ancients" of this era, rising at sunrise and resting at sunset was still the norm unless something important came up. Even Yue Buqun, the Huashan Sect's leader, known as the Gentleman Sword, and his wife, Ning Zhongze, were no exception!

The old married couple lay side by side on the bed, the mosquito net hanging loosely around them. Each was on their own side, and neither disturbed the other.

Yue Buqun had something on his mind, so naturally, he had no intention of climbing on top of his wife. He simply closed his eyes and pretended to be asleep.

She kept her eyes open, gazing up at the top of the mosquito net. In the hazy moonlight filtering in through the window, a hint of thought and worry could be seen in her eyes. No one knew what she was thinking.
After a long while, she finally couldn't hold back. She gently turned her head toward her husband, Yue Buqun, who was lying properly beside her, then asked with a frown and a soft voice:

"Earlier, with so many disciples around, there were too many inconveniences, and I couldn't ask you for details."
"Now it's late and quiet, and it's just the two of us in the room. You should finally tell me what's going on, shouldn't you?"
Ning Zhongze had been holding
