There were said to be many such offices, scattered throughout the various districts of the magnificent inner and outer cities of the Divine Capital. Each was responsible for managing the airspace in a specific area.
The one beside the main road in the western part of the city, for instance, might be called an "office," but its buildings were anything but ordinary. It was a complex of grand halls and pavilions, adorned with carved beams and painted rafters.
The entrance was a massive gate tower, built around an unknown ten-thousand-year-old spiritwood. Its interlocking joints showed no nails or metal, and the whole structure looked extraordinarily imposing.
Golden glazed tiles shimmered across its upturned eaves and bracketed roofs, reflecting brilliant golden rays in the sunlight.
On either side of the gate stood two imposing jade qilin, their eyes bright and glimmering with spiritual light. They lent the Heavenly Court's offices an air of authority.
Above the main entrance hung a massive plaque inscribed with five bold characters in sweeping strokes: "Airspace Administration Office." The powerful brushwork seemed to contain an imposing force and the power of law, making it hard to look at for long.

At last, the troublesome little girl reached the grand office entrance. She tilted her head back to look at the plaque, confirmed she had the right place, then strode in with complete abandon, her little legs pumping as she followed the crowd.
