The thick snow that had once covered the ground had long since been burned, melted, and evaporated. The land, frozen for countless eons, had been scorched black and soft, and now seemed to be glowing red as it began to melt?
Everywhere one looked, there was nothing left but the snow atop distant mountains, the endless frost and snowflakes still howling down from the sky, the boundless dark-red flames, the various broken, charred corpses of the once-arrogant Frost Trolls, and the little ice-crystal castle glowing red in the firelight...
