Half a day earlier, while he was dueling the stubborn, foolish, and greedy Shaman of a native tribe, a little girl had sneaked off with the World Rune he'd been planning to reclaim. So after killing his old friend and freeing him from the power that had enslaved him for so long, Ryze had made a wasted trip to the frigid northern mountains of Freljord. Now he had no choice but to wander aimlessly through the snowy wilderness like a headless fly.
Ryze wasn't too worried about the barbarian tribe whose chieftain he'd just killed. When he'd set out to "pursue" a certain mischievous little girl, he'd seen the preparations she'd left behind: snow golems that looked as if they'd been carelessly thrown together, yet were incredibly powerful.
He believed those snowmen would protect the tribe from the threat of the Frost Trolls, and keep that little village of ninety-three people safe!
Of course, there were only ninety-two people left now, apparently.
