"AAAAAAAH??!!"
This is so painful...
I-I feel awful...
"You... y-you, did you just poison me?!"
Fizz was frantically clawing at her own mouth and tongue with both hands, gasping for breath. Tears and snot ran down her face and dripped onto the ground... From her exaggerated movements and expression, you'd think she wanted to rip off her lips, tongue, eyes, and even the inside of her mouth.
As you'd expect,
her behavior drew the attention of the Bilgewater locals nearby—loafers, thugs, sailors, crewmen, sea hunters, and dockside gang members among them. They gathered around, pointing and laughing at her.
If some filthy drunk or fish-smelling sailor started howling and ranting in the street, no one would give them a second glance. But a strange aquatic amphibian who was clearly not human? That was enough to pique people's curiosity.
"Honestly..."
(?????)
Hehe...
"Here, Fizz! Drink plenty of water and the spice will go away soon!"

Annie led Fizz by her webbed, frog-like hand over to an open wooden barrel. With a sweet, reassuring smile, she then viciously shoved Fizz's head into the barrel, plunging her smooth blue head underwater. Everyone around them could only watch as bubbles went "blub, blub" and rose from the water.
She could live in the deep sea and breathe underwater, so there was no way she'd drown... That meant little Annie didn't need to hold back at all. She'd only stopped short of tossing Fizz completely into the barrel.
"??"
( ̄□ ̄;)
"Hey, you lot! What are you looking at? Never seen someone eat spicy strips before?!"
o(`д′)o
When she turned around and saw that a crowd of idlers had gathered to watch, pointing and snickering, Annie got angry. She huffed and waved her soft, white little fists at them, though they weren't remotely intimidating.
