Several more days passed...
Everything in the world was still perfectly normal—or perhaps it had gone back to normal? People once again believed there were no aliens in this world, no mysterious UFOs, and no Alien Spaceship that had exploded and shattered the glass across half of New York. There was certainly no one trying to cover up the truth...
In short, the world was still a beautiful place. The people of Earth remained immersed in the comforting lie that they were the only intelligent life ever discovered in the universe, and they kept launching all sorts of probes into space to bewilder anyone watching, hoping to search for the aliens said to possibly exist somewhere out there.
Many of them might never know that they had already seen aliens plenty of times, or that they had witnessed all kinds of "extraterrestrial" incidents on more than one occasion. Some people with ulterior motives had simply wiped their memories, forcing them to forget the things they weren't supposed to remember.
During this time, with no other aliens coming to bother her, little Annie finally behaved herself for several days.
She didn't go looking for that alien dog, Frank, to play with, because he had run off with the short-haired, long-eared cat she'd only just bought a few days earlier... So now she had no desire at all to look for the bad dog who'd stolen her cat and kept trying to avoid her!
Of course, she hadn't gone looking for trouble with those "Xalalans" either, since those big bugs hadn't dared come back to see her.

It was because word of her exploits had spread to all the spaceports on Earth—and from there, to the ears of various aliens. After all, she'd single-handedly beaten a "Xalalan" combat squad, killed
