"Beep!"
"Dear extraterrestrial travelers, the last flight this month to planet BE2019Y0726KE is about to depart. Any extraterrestrial travelers still in the waiting lounge, please proceed to Platform 18 for ticket inspection and boarding as soon as possible..."
"Beep!"
"Dear extraterrestrial travelers, the last flight this month to..."
"..."
"Hey! That idiot definitely won't make it. What an unlucky guy!"
Agent J held a plain mug, leaning against the doorway of a staff lounge on the second floor of the customs and departure hall at MIB Headquarters. He leisurely watched the black-clad staff bustling around the distant customs hall, the patrolling agents and guards, and the extraterrestrial travelers coming and going—or queuing for clearance and inspection.
Then,
naturally, he also heard the crisp announcement from the female announcer and saw a soft-bodied, many-legged alien crawling desperately across the smooth floor toward the ticket gate at Platform 18 at a speed of less than two miles per hour. He immediately knew that alien was definitely going to miss its flight!
Perhaps it could arrive earlier and wait at the gate for next month's flight? There was nothing else it could do. Who had told it to grow so many legs and still move so slowly? Besides, it was clearly some planet's aquatic creature. Coming to Earth—a planet with more than seventy-one percent ocean—to sightsee, it probably never imagined it would end up in this situation, right?
J had heard about that fellow. Apparently, when it came to Earth and discovered that humans lived on land, it had been quite shocked.
Fortunately, today was already the twenty-sixth, so only a few days remained until the first flight next month. Unless it wanted to transfer through another planet, it could only remain on Earth for a few more days...
Of course, before that,
