After finishing her first exploration of the Umbrella Corporation's Hive, completing the mission to retrieve the data, and using the "memory eraser" to wipe the memories of the special forces and survivors who had barely managed to escape the Hive research facility beneath Raccoon City, she'd made them obediently board the subway train and leave, believing that she herself had gotten lost in the Hive long ago and might already have been eaten by zombies. Only then did she open a long-distance portal straight back to Manhattan. Her first stop was the entrance of the building whose outer wall stubbornly still bore the words "Bridge and Tunnel Authority."

As expected, she once again rudely kicked open the building's decades-old, dilapidated wooden door and barged right in. She seemed to be planning to take the elevator down to headquarters to report on her mission—and, while she was at it, enjoy the admiration and envy of all those men in black and pretty ladies?
