Within Oub's territorial waters, a squad of six red, white, and black M1 Astrays was skimming urgently across the sea. They were heading due north, just as the transmission had indicated.

They had also incorporated squad-based combat into the design for the first time, discarding unnecessary equipment that hindered coordination and encouraged individual heroics. This simplified the machines, pushed their performance to its limits, and greatly improved production efficiency.
