The two of them were still discussing something important and showed no sign of finishing. After a moment, Jinxia decided to leave. He hugged his horsetail whisk and went outside the cave chamber, leaning against the wall by his master's main chamber. He settled into the spot he had long since rubbed smooth and black, narrowed his eyes, and slipped into the half-asleep state he had practiced for many years.
Jinxia figured his master probably wouldn't have any more errands for him today. Since he had nothing to do, he might as well rest against the wall and catch up on some sleep. Even if his master did call for him later, surely he wouldn't notice that Jinxia had been dozing off.
