Waaah~!
Vrrrrm~ whoosh, whoosh!!
In the dead of night, a line of black armored riot-control vehicles—clearly belonging to Academy City's Anti-Skill—raced down the asphalt roads, following the sounds of explosions and the glow of flames and smoke. The drivers seemed to have floored the gas, engines roaring as the vehicles hurtled one after another beneath the streetlights, tearing through the air with a shrill whine as they sped toward the building making all that noise in the night: the Pathology Analysis Research Institute.

Aihō Yomikawa wore the Anti-Skill's dark blue uniform, carried an automatic weapon, and was fully equipped with riot gear and a helmet. She was the first to open the lead vehicle's door and jump out. One by one, the Anti-Skill officers, all outfitted like her with standard-issue riot-control weapons and shields, poured out of their vehicles. They quickly spread out, taking cover behind their vehicles, the institute's outer walls, or nearby trees and flower beds. Soon, they had packed the area around the institute's front entrance, from inside which explosions continued to echo and
