Tsunade clenched her fists, feeling boundless strength in her hands. "Third Raikage? We won't know who's stronger until we fight."
What had she done over the years? It sounded simple enough. But only after investing a great deal of time would the results become apparent. By now, she had achieved modest mastery in Sage Art, National Martial Arts, and Taijutsu. Combined with her attainments in Monster Strength, she truly possessed a terrifying level of power.
The future Fourth Raikage had once arm-wrestled Tsunade. If he had not gone all out and pushed himself to the limit, he really would not have been her match. The current Tsunade had yet to reach her peak, but the Third Raikage was in his prime. It was hard to say who was stronger. Even if she lost, it would not be strange. After all, the Third Raikage was the strongest man in Kumogakure's history. He had fought ten thousand ninjas to the death—a man with something of a legendary air about him.
Loli Connoisseur: All right, don't force yourself. It's fine whether you have it or not. Even without a manual for Lightning Release Nintaijutsu, I can figure it out myself if you give me enough time. Just be careful. Oh, and if possible, give me a copy of your grandfather's Wood Release Ninjutsu. I want to study it.
Great Fat Sheep of the Ninja World: Now that you mention it, your Martial Soul is grass, and you have more than enough vitality. It might really work. The next time I return to Konoha, I'll copy one for you.
Loli Connoisseur: Then that's settled. I still have nineteen copies here. I'll give Xiao Fugui two. Since True Man Zhang needs more, I'll give him eleven. The remaining six will all go to Sister Tsunade. If it isn't enough, just tell me. It's not anything particularly rare on my end.
Great Fat Sheep of the Ninja World: Sure. I only need a few copies for research.
Loli Connoisseur: That's it for now. I have something to do, so I'm logging off.
Fat Otaku Hammer God: Hey, brother, I'm not that interested in bones. If you can, get me a few Soul Beasts to try. Earth's beer is decent enough, but the meat is really boring. Those Sea Kings at Zephyr's place tasted pretty good last time. Let me see what Soul Beast meat tastes like where you are.
Loli Connoisseur: Easy. Wait a moment.
Chen Huang logged off. He still had to return to Tang Hao's side, and blindly chatting in the group with his eyes closed in a place like this was far too dangerous. Forming hand seals, he sent out two Shadow Clones and had them head off in different directions from him.
Before long, he killed a five-hundred-year-old cow and a sheep around three hundred years old, then sent them to Thor.
Fat Otaku Hammer God: Thanks, brother.
As everyone knew, Thor was depressed right now. Though he seemed all right in the group, the shadow of watching his family members die one after another still lingered in his heart. Every day, he either drank or ate meat, and he was already showing signs of putting on weight.
What a pity. He had gone from the peak of Thor's good looks straight into a slump.
But seriously, Earth was not a good place. If he stayed too long, even an Asgardian might gradually become like an ordinary Earthling. Chen Huang still had to persuade him to pull himself together and reclaim Asgard as soon as possible.
Chen Huang returned to the area where the Bloodthirsty Demonic Vine was. Xiao Shan was still absorbing her Spirit Ring. There was no pain on her face, though, so things appeared to be going smoothly. Tang Hao stood nearby, watching intently. If anything went wrong while she absorbed the Spirit Ring, it would be troublesome.
"Teacher, I'm back." Chen Huang smiled.
Tang Hao nodded and asked, "Xiao Huang, what did you find?" Chen Huang had headed in the direction of the Bloodthirsty Demonic Vine's branches earlier. How could Tang Hao not know what he had gone to do?
Smiling, Chen Huang took a Spirit Bone from his Storage Soul Tool. "There really was one. Here, a Lightning Salamander's Right Arm Bone. It's probably a few hundred years old."
Tang Hao looked at him and smiled as well. Spirit Bones were not common. In fact, even disciples of major sects would not deliberately collect a full set of Spirit Bones. He himself had probably seen only around ten. After all, even disciples of major sects did not know that becoming a god required gathering a complete set of Spirit Bones.
A complete set of Spirit Bones would transform into Divine Armor. That was extremely important.
Tang Hao said, "Xiao Huang, absorb the Spirit Bone now. I'll watch over you."
Chen Huang glanced at Tang Hao and blinked.
Tang Hao continued, "A Spirit Bone is something that can only be encountered by chance. It can greatly improve a Soul Master's methods and combat power. Since you've decided to become an Assault System Soul Master, this beast-type Spirit Bone suits you well. Spirit Bones also improve physical attributes to some extent. If it grants an enhancement-type soul skill, then combined with the Self-Created Soul Skills and Taijutsu you've learned, you'll be able to unleash even greater power."
"But in the future, use Soul Bone Skills cautiously. If anyone learns that you possess a Spirit Bone, I guarantee many people will come to assassinate you and seize it," Tang Hao said.
"Okay. Then I'll trouble you, teacher." Chen Huang held the Spirit Bone and sat down cross-legged.
"Just press the Spirit Bone against the corresponding part of your body, and you can absorb it," Tang Hao said.
Since Chen Huang had never absorbed a Spirit Bone before, Tang Hao deliberately reminded him in case he did not understand.
Chen Huang pressed the Right Arm Bone against his right arm. With a slight circulation of Soul Power, the bone slipped into his arm. A Spirit Bone was not a bone in the literal sense. It was a Soul Beast's Soul Core, a product formed from condensed Soul Power. It now transformed into energy and entered his right arm.
Though it was only a Right Arm Spirit Bone a few hundred years old, Chen Huang felt as though his arm were on fire. At the same time, it felt like he was undergoing Guan Yu scraping poison from his bone. The sensations all came from inside his bones. Even if he wanted to scratch, he could not reach them. He furrowed his brow tightly, and sweat soon began to pour down his face.
Another half hour passed. Xiao Shan slowly opened her eyes and exhaled a breath of turbid air. She had succeeded. This eighteen-hundred-year Spirit Ring had also granted her a rather impressive soul skill.
Third Soul Skill, Bloodthirsty Vine. Its effect was blood-sucking. To draw blood, her Blue Silver Grass had grown tiny red thorns. Once she infused them with Soul Power, they could turn into blood-red steel nails. This greatly strengthened her offensive power.
The Blue Silver Grass's toughness had improved somewhat, though only to a limited extent. It seemed to be less than when she had absorbed the Ghost Vine last time. However, Bloodthirsty Vine also brought another effect: by sucking blood, it could slowly increase the Blue Silver Grass's own toughness and hardness. This effect was incredibly powerful. Unfortunately, it came with a limitation—it could only suck blood.
"How do you feel?" Tang Hao could not help smiling as he looked at his daughter.
"I feel... mm, great. Hehe." Xiao Shan smiled. Looking at Chen Huang, who was sitting cross-legged not far away, she asked, "Dad, what's wrong with Xiao Huang? What's he doing?"
Tang Hao smiled. "Xiao Huang got lucky and picked up a Spirit Bone. He's absorbing it."
