Future of the Returning Trajectory

Feeney was not in a very good mood when he returned home. He could more or less understand some of Tony's feelings, but back then, he and Tony had been complete strangers. Why should he have gone out of his way to save him, especially at the risk of changing the plot he was familiar with?

Their relationship had only improved after these few encounters. Feeney thought gloomily that he had originally wanted to remind Tony about Yinsen's hometown, but he had been interrupted before he could finish. He had no idea what would happen next.

At the same time, Tony, who was equally Irritated, arrived at the gala and shocked everyone around him.

The reporters who had previously insisted that Tony would definitely not show up were now publicly slapped in the face. But no one paid attention to that reporter at the moment; they were all curious that Tony had actually appeared.

After Obadiah received word that Tony had arrived, he immediately ended his interview and came looking for him.

"Hey, look who's here."

Looking surprised, Obadiah smiled as he Observed Tony, then walked over and gave him a warm hug. He then draped an arm around Tony's shoulders, letting the reporters nearby snap plenty of photos.

"I really Didn't expect you to come!" Obadiah whispered into Tony's ear.

"What kind of world is this? Throwing a party without inviting the Master." Tony glanced at the flashing lights around him, frowned, and started walking forward. "I'll wait for you inside."

"Hey!" Seeing the reporters gathered around them, Obadiah worried that Tony might cause another incident like last time. He stopped him first and whispered a precautionary warning in his ear, "Listen to me, don't be hasty. I think I'm close to persuading the board."

"Hmm, got it." Tony answered impatiently. He had not come with any particular plan in mind; he just wanted to find somewhere to have a drink and ease his mood.

When he arrived at the Bar Counter, Tony asked the Bartender for a drink. Just then, a smiling man whose receding hairline was nearly at the top of his head approached him.

"Hello, Mr. Stark. I'm Agent Coulson."

Agents came and went, but Coulson remained.

"Oh, right, right, you're that... whatever..." Tony recalled that some department seemed to have come looking for him shortly after he had been rescued. But thinking of that brought Feeney and Yinsen back to mind, worsening his mood even further.

"The Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division..."

Coulson did not notice Tony's Irritated Facial Expression. Or perhaps he did notice, but simply did not care.

"You should change that name!" Tony drank from his glass, his gaze searching through the dance floor for something.

"Yes, a lot of people say that." Coulson agreed with a smile before continuing, "We understand things haven't been going very well for you lately, but we need to know what happened."

"There are still many questions. How about we set a time? Seven o'clock on the evening of the 24th, at Stark Company?"

Coulson could tell Tony did not want to talk right now, so he did not press too hard.

"Fine, that's settled!" Tony had not really been paying attention to what Coulson was saying. Seeing that Coulson did not intend to bother him right now, he agreed first and figured he could deal with it later.

At that moment, he finally found the target he had been looking for. Upon seeing that Beautiful Silhouette radiating astonishing charm, Tony could not hold himself back. "Excuse me for a moment. I'm going to find my Assistant and discuss something with her."

After decisively bidding farewell to the half-bald Old Man, Tony headed toward his Assistant, Pepper Potts.

"You look beautiful tonight. I almost didn't recognize you!"

Looking at her, Tony felt his mood improve considerably.

"Why are you here?" Pepper Potts looked at Tony in surprise, seemingly not expecting to see him there.

"I annoyed a Magic Boy, and I don't know what to do about it, so I came out for a walk." Tony did not want to lie to Pepper, but he also did not want to talk much about it. He changed the subject. "That dress is beautiful. Where'd you get it?"

"Oh..." Pepper lowered her head shyly and replied somewhat awkwardly, "It was a Birthday Gift..."

"Very nice!"

"You gave it to me!" Pepper tried hard to return to her Normal State, joking in her usual tone.

"Then I've got pretty good taste!" Tony was clearly accustomed to this way of interacting with her as well, but an ambiguous atmosphere still lingered between them.

"Do you... want to dance?" Looking at the Girl in front of him, Tony Feels he could not just keep standing there.

"Oh, no." Pepper was somewhat unaccustomed to this Changes in her Boss.

"Alright, come on!" Tony, as self-centered as ever, clearly did not understand the meaning of refusal. He directly grabbed Pepper's hand and led her toward the dance floor.

What followed was the beginning and development of a story about an overbearing CEO falling in love with his female Assistant.

However, the story did not get the chance to fully develop. As Tony was about to get some drinks, a Female Reporter approached and told him what Feeney had wanted to remind him about earlier.

Yinsen's hometown was still under attack by Terrorists, using Stark's latest developed weapon.

Things had returned to their original trajectory.

Looking at the photos in the Female Reporter's hand and recalling what Feeney had wanted to say earlier, Tony's Facial Expression immediately turned grim. He completely put Pepper out of his mind, found Obadiah at once, and questioned him about the Weapons Division.

Naturally, it was an unpleasant conversation. Tony was so furious that he returned home directly, while also beginning to suspect Obadiah.

In the workshop, Tony stared at the Face Mask he had designed earlier and left on the table, deep in thought. Then he looked at the phone beside him, which contained Feeney's number.

"Even without you, I can find out the truth!"

In the end, Tony did not call Feeney to ask him. First, they had just had a falling-out, and calling him now would undoubtedly mean admitting fault. Proud as he was, Tony naturally refused to do that.

Second, he remembered what Feeney had said when he left: no one was obligated to help him. Feeney owed him nothing, and they could not even be considered good friends yet.

Looking at the information he had gathered on the screen, Tony's face was grim and serious. He looked at the Face Mask on the table again and muttered, "The Flight System has already been tested. Next, let's test the Weapon System!"

The next day, somewhere in Afghanistan, at a Military Base.

Explosions filled the sky without end, and gunfire rose and fell. A man wearing Iron Armor strolled through the battlefield, walking away without even looking back. It was Tony Stark, the very person responsible for all of it.

"Trickster Kid definitely can't do anything like this. At most, he can probably destroy a few chairs!"

Looking at his own feat, Tony smugly thought to himself. Even as he left, he did not forget to take the opportunity to Look Down On Feeney. In truth, even now, he could not determine exactly how dangerous Feeney was.

But that one portal trick alone was enough for him to classify Feeney as the most dangerous and bizarre person he had Encountered in These Years.

After testing the power of the Iron Man Armor, Tony was both excited and inflated. On his way back, he even unexpectedly got into a minor conflict with military Fighter Jets.

Of course, Tony would never admit it. To some extent, he had deliberately provoked them just to prove that his armor was far faster than Fighter Jets.
