Feeney understood what Tony meant. He was clearly targeting him. After Tony had previously taken control of Jarvis, Feeney couldn't believe he hadn't taken any precautions.
But Feeney didn't care about the Iron Man Armor. Wasn't Possessed by Evil Spirit much better?
"Then I'll come by again tonight."
Tony had things to do, and Feeney couldn't stop him. But he still needed to grind experience. April was fast approaching, and the Experience Bar was only a little short of full. If he put in some more effort, he'd be able to extract a skill.
"What have you two been up to lately?"
Pepper asked from the side. With Tony stepping down, she'd had a mountain of work to manage at the company, but as his girlfriend, she knew the two of them seemed to be working on something together.
"Nothing much. I've had a few problems with my cultivation, so I asked Mr. Stark to help me out," Feeney explained to Pepper.
Pepper had once been Tony's assistant, and she was far better at dealing with people than he was. So the two of them had gotten along pretty well from the start.
"What could he possibly help you with?"
Pepper couldn't help looking surprised. She knew Feeney was studying magic.
"Hey, you have that little faith in your boss?"
Tony protested from the side. Was she looking down on him?
"Former boss!"
Pepper smiled at Tony's jealousy and stopped asking questions. After giving his outfit another once-over, she nodded and said, "All right, we can go."
"Then you two go ahead. I'll head back!"
Feeney opened a portal. Since S.H.I.E.L.D. was secretly keeping an eye on them, he used portals every time he came and went to avoid being discovered. Even their later phone calls were encrypted.
Back home,
