The Earl wanted to use Teleportation to leave immediately.
But under the circumstances, he could leave, while his Bloody Raider couldn't.
Yes, it was true that he had once teleported the castle aboard the Bloody Raider from Sylvania nearly halfway across the Old World, all the way to the Abyssal Maelstrom.

After all, most of his wealth was aboard the Bloody Raider, including his coffin.
Even if he could take his coffin with him when he teleported away, what about everything else?
And so the Earl decided... he'd better throw his allies under the bus.
After casting Nico's Curse, the Earl immediately dispelled the Ghost Ship as well.
The enormous Ghost Ship slowly faded from its semi-transparent state until it became completely transparent—or, rather, until it simply vanished.
Watching the Ghost Ship disappear, Lin Yun knew he couldn't continue the fight.
After restoring the martial arts energy within his body, Lin Yun flew down toward the Castle Ship.
Fortunately—well, fortunately for the Earl—the Ghost
