"Hm?" The Herald of Death stared at Lin Yun, who hadn't moved at all and had simply taken his attack head-on. He looked completely dumbfounded—he might as well have been questioning his entire existence.
Unlike an ordinary Norscan champion of Khorne, the Herald of Death was practically one of Khorne's own. That was why he possessed a special set of attack techniques.
The technique he had just used was supposed to strike Lin Yun and siphon away his life force, temporarily replenishing the vast majority of his HP that he had just lost.
But nothing had happened.
Lin Yun didn't seem to have taken any damage, and the Herald hadn't drained any life force from him. In short...the situation had grown awkward. It seemed the Herald didn't know how to save face.
He hadn't noticed that, in that instant, the damage Lin Yun should have taken had been transferred directly to Gogmao Blood Axe. Lin Yun looked as though he hadn't taken any damage at all. He had even blocked the attack head-on.
Still, at least for a moment, blood mist billowed around the Herald of Death. A red thread stretched from him to Lin Yun, then flowed back to the Herald.
Lin Yun didn't know what had happened, but he did know that he had just lost 7 HP. He wasn't sure whether those 7 points had gone to the Herald.
But...those 7 HP were entirely temporary HP granted by Greater Heroism...
"WAAAGH!" In the distance, the Greenskins didn't know when Lin Yun had appeared, but they had no concept of rules against ambushing people.
