"Wait, move aside. My only target is that golden Servant." In the distance, Kariya Matou watched as his target was replaced once again, feeling utterly helpless.
After all, because of Lancelot, he was in terrible pain now. And as Lancelot continued to move, the bugs inside him would be stirred up even more, further eating away at his life.
He didn't have much life left to begin with. He couldn't afford to waste it like this.
That was why Kariya tried to get the others not to act recklessly.
But what he hadn't expected was... nobody paid him any attention.
Not Gilgamesh, not Artoria, and not Lancelot.
The main reason, however, wasn't that he was too far away.
It was simply because—"Die, Lancelot!" Mordred charged straight at Lancelot, looking as though she intended to hack him to death.
"Ahhh!" Now that Mordred had entered battle mode, she had naturally put on the Horned Helmet, so Lancelot had no way of recognizing her. Though, at this point, Lancelot couldn't recognize Mordred anyway.
"I'd like to say I forgive you, Lancelot, but looking at you now... I know this probably isn't what you really think, but I just can't..." It wasn't only Mordred. Even Gawain joined the fight.
It was true that Gawain felt he ought to be more forgiving. He had resented Lancelot, and that resentment had led to the deaths of several Round Table Knights. Then he himself had been badly wounded and later killed by Mordred.
But that was under normal circumstances. There was no doubt that Lancelot seemed rather abnormal now, and Gawain had no idea whether Lancelot had been corrupted or was simply speaking his true thoughts.
If Lancelot still had his normal reason, he would probably have protested, "What did I say?"
From beginning to end,
