The young lady struggled with all her might. Before long, thanks to the strength her gigantic Fire Elemental form gave her, she managed to break free of the Shoggoth's hold.
Then she swung Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros, and brought it crashing down on the Shoggoth once more.
Fire might not do much to a Shoggoth, but at the very least, Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros, now a gigantic weapon, dealt plenty of physical damage.
A two-handed hammer of Medium size dealt 2D6 damage, a Large one dealt 3D6, and a Huge one dealt 4D6. At Gargantuan size, though, things changed: it skipped straight past 5D6 and dealt 6D6 damage.
And with the +5 bonus on Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros itself, that really wasn't bad.
The only problem was that this thing looked like a Mud Monster with a body full of vengeful spirits, and it didn't seem all that vulnerable to physical attacks like those from Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros.
But that was fine. If one blow didn't do the trick, two would.
At the very least, that savage hammer strike flattened a huge swath of the Shoggoth's body.
And that was only one blow.
The young lady swung Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros again and again, flattening another part of the Shoggoth's body.
The Shoggoth could slowly return to its original shape, but compared to the damage the young lady was dealing, that didn't seem to help much.
Unfortunately, just as the young lady was about to bring Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros down for a third time, the Shoggoth thrust out enough tentacles to knock the hammer back.
At least the young lady still had a firm grip on Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros, so it didn't fall.
Then the Shoggoth sent the tentacles on its body lashing toward Lin Yun.
