The Blood Axe warlords were quite strategic. They even knew to avoid fighting to the last like other clans when the odds were against them. Instead, they made tactical retreats, gathered a bigger mob of Boyz, prepared more thoroughly, and came back for another go!

The Blood Axe Clan took its name from its blood-splattered battle-axe emblem. It had so many grudges with the other clans that even among the Greenskins, a race of bitter rivals who never stopped fighting amongst themselves, it was second to none.

The Blood Axe Clan had once been immensely powerful, and for a long time held a dominant position in Greenskin society.

But these lads had traded far too many favors with humans, until the other clans could no longer stand it. The result was a bloody Orc civil war that the Greenskins called the "Great Scrappin',"

which cost countless Blood Axe Boyz their lives and brought down the old order. The Blood Axes who escaped were left to hide and skulk for many years.
