The Chairman of the Truth Society wanted to talk to Bai Fu. He had even deliberately left a brainwashed mutant in the laboratory for that purpose. It was hard to imagine how something like that could go unnoticed.
The smile on Bai Fu's face slowly disappeared under everyone's watchful gaze.
Had that old bastard, the Chairman of the Truth Society, deliberately set her up like this after taking a beating from her?
Fine, fine. So that was how he wanted to play it? Then the next time they met, she'd have to turn things up a notch. Even if she couldn't kill him, she'd take both his arms off!
In the silence, Behemoth was the first to speak up. "Interesting. I've been wondering how to find him, and now he's come out of hiding on his own. I'll like to see what he has to say."
As he spoke, he gave Bai Fu a long, meaningful look.
Then he began directing the mechanic who had accompanied the main group. "This is our chance. Try to trace his signal. If we can find his current location... the Truth Society's hundred-year history will end today!"
Behemoth suddenly sneered, acting as if the moment he knew where the Chairman of the Truth Society was, he could instantly teleport there and take him out.
What a show-off.
Bai Fu's eye twitched. She raised her Personal Terminal. "Are you ready? If you are, I'll contact him."
"Miss Silver Moon, please wait a moment."
The mechanic worked for several minutes, even arranging an external monitor before finally signaling that Bai Fu could begin.
Bai Fu entered the number into her Personal Terminal. When the terminal began to beep, everyone held their breath.
A few seconds later, with a soft chime, a figure appeared on the screen.
