As one of the pillars of the Rebirth Empire, Dmitry held the same level of access to the Radiance Mainframe as Emperor Odoayak.
The Radiance responded to his call almost immediately.
To his great disappointment, however, he found nothing amiss, whether he asked the Radiance to search on its own or personally reviewed the surveillance footage.
But the secondary space had been turned upside down. How could there possibly be nothing wrong?
Dmitry thought there were only two possibilities.
The first was that the intruder possessed an extremely unusual ability, one that let them come and go freely under the Radiance's surveillance without triggering any alerts.
The second was that someone had tampered with the Radiance's data.
"If it's the second possibility, was the data altered by the Radiance itself, or by one of the people who has the same level of access as me?"
A chill ran through Dmitry.
Whatever the truth was, this was beyond his ability to handle now.
He wasn't being alarmist.
Suppose someone really could move freely through the Empire without being detected by the Radiance. If that person harbored even the slightest ill will toward the Empire, then the Empire would be in grave danger.
If the Radiance had deleted the data on its own, then the Empire was in serious danger now, too. Who knew what else the Radiance had secretly done?
If someone with the same level of access as him had deleted the Radiance's data, then... damn it, the enemy was already in the heart of the Empire. How could the Empire possibly be safe?
"Should I go to Bualuo? No, even Bualuo can't be trusted right now. Chong Xiao? Even worse. The Emperor... Even if he's innocent, there's no point going to him. He can't solve this kind of problem."
