The rock wall shuddered as if struck by some invisible force. The stones loosened and cracked.
Huge chunks of rock fell from the wall, raising clouds of dust.
Yang Tianxuan and the others looked over curiously.
The rock wall that had been there was gone, revealing a wide tunnel.
The tunnel stretched deep into the darkness. A faint, cool breeze drifted out, carrying a chill.
Looking into the depths, they saw a dim green glow.
"Put away the mining robots. Let's go in and take a look." Yang Tianxuan spoke in a low voice.
At his words, the members of Apocalypse Tech put away their mining robots in their spatial bags, then followed Yang Tianxuan into the tunnel, curious to explore.
The tunnel was damp. Stalactites of all shapes covered the walls. Yang Tianxuan and the guild members took flashlights from their spatial bags and swept their beams through the darkness mingled with green light, driving away the shadows the glow didn't reach.
"Stay alert, everyone. Watch for anything unusual." Yang Tianxuan's low voice echoed through the tunnel.
As they ventured deeper, the green light ahead grew clearer. They could make out a huge green light source at the end of the tunnel.
"Boss Yang, there's something here."
The sudden shout drew everyone's attention. Yang Tianxuan turned toward the direction of the voice.
In the corner where the floor met one side of the tunnel wall lay a pile of oddly shaped bones.
They weren't humanoid. Their limbs were long and slender, like twisted vines, and each finger bone was a sharp blade. Their fingertips curled toward the rock wall, as if they had been trying to grab something in life.
Every bone of the dead creatures was saturated with an unknown green energy, giving them a faint glow.
