Diogo led several hundred enormous demonic dragons through the sky, their dragon breath pouring down in ceaseless streams. The grand temple complex, built by the Church over countless years at an untold cost in manpower and resources, had been reduced to a sea of fire. Large and small statues and divine emblems forged from pure gold, mithril, and refined gold melted in the black dragon breath, flowing across the ground in rivers of metal.
"The blood and sweat of the people!" Yameier tucked both hands into his sleeves, squinting at the rivers of rare molten metal rushing across the ground as he curled his lips in a cold sneer. How many years had the Church plundered for? How much of the people's wealth had it looted to forge so many statues and divine emblems? Enough that, once melted down, they became so many rivers of rare metal?

A temple belonging to the Dawn God crashed down with a thunderous roar. Tens of thousands of Dawn Knights who had stubbornly resisted nearby were reduced to ashes amid shrill, miserable screams beneath the dragon breath. Several lower gods of the Light Divine Pantheon, possessing the bodies of divine descendants, rushed out from within the temple—but the moment they appeared, several streaks of ghostly light casually flicked out by Yameier blasted their heads apart.
