"So soon?"
Shi Lan was a little surprised, but Samsara didn't reply again.
Glancing at the figures drawing ever closer behind her, she propped herself up and carefully climbed into the porthole.
Fortunately, this body was slender and short, so she didn't get stuck.
Once inside the cabin, Shi Lan turned around and shut the porthole tight.
In her current condition, it was obviously unwise to come face-to-face with the system's bound host outside.
Xiao Teng followed her and tried to open the porthole, but failed. Frowning, he looked around, roughly estimated where the cabin was, then pulled out his phone and headed for the deck.
"Ah Bao, take a few people near Cabin 302. There's an outsider aboard!"
As soon as he'd said this, Xiao Teng quickly added,
"Watch your attitude. Be polite!"
It was pitch-black all around, and Shi Lan could only feel her way along carefully. She made her way to the door first, locked it from the inside, then began searching bit by bit.
Her luck was decent. The cabin wasn't a storeroom, but it was a kitchen.
The stove was still warm; they'd clearly only just finished cleaning it.
Whoosh—
A faint glow lit up the cabin. Shi Lan found the refrigerator.
A chill washed over her face. There were leftovers on the shelves, along with a few big white steamed buns. Shi Lan instinctively drew in a breath, her eyes lighting up. She didn't care about anything else and began stuffing them into her mouth, wolfing them down.
The buns were too cold and hard. After just a few breaths, Shi Lan began to choke.
Glug, glug, glug...
Only when the cold water rushed down her throat did Shi Lan finally catch her breath.
Thud, thud, thud...
A jumble of footsteps sounded outside
