Background and History

Samsara previously served other hosts, including Chu Yang. When Shi Lan draws a sword associated with Chu Yang, Samsara takes control of her body to inspect it. Learning that Chu Yang is forty years old exposes a difference in time flow between his world and Lingyang Realm, which Samsara identifies as the cause of system malfunctions 174 175.

As Shi Lan’s companion, Samsara shields her from an impact that would otherwise crush her, warns her when it senses the Samsara Hall, and advises her about other worlds and systems 265 371 422 542. Shi Lan later constructs a body for Samsara using Divine King blood essence, her own blood, and the vital essences of powerful cultivators 660.

Samsara’s earlier history is revealed in the Xian Gu Era. After sensing Shi Lan’s soul in a light crossing the Space-Time River, Samsara chooses to follow her to the Origin Era. She expects to lose her memories and gives up her Immortal Emperor fruit position, relying on fixed instructions to keep herself operating 785. Shi Lan later understands that Samsara deliberately guided her toward the remnants of the Qinghong Realm, where she obtained Qing Lan’s original body and the Heavenly Azure Spiritual Profound Scripture 785.

Near the last fragment of the Origin Crystal, Samsara uses code taken from the system to locate it. Cultivating a method derived from Yin Han’s Heaven Devouring Method, she gradually erodes the fragment’s origin 788. After the war against Heaven, she stays with Shi Lan at a point outside the ordinary flow of time 790.

Appearance

After gaining a physical form, Samsara is depicted as a woman in a spotless white robe, with a profound aura of Space-time Law 785.

Personality

Samsara is protective of Shi Lan, but her advice is often practical: she warns against a dangerous encounter with the Samsara Hall and abandons a proposed resource-gathering trip when its likely cost outweighs its benefit 542 565. Her decision to cross into the Origin Era shows a greater commitment. She accepts the loss of her memories and states that, if she cannot guide Shi Lan back to the right path, she will die with her 785.
